The problem

A shop-floor workstation opened a malicious invoice attachment. Encryption spread to two file servers and the backup appliance was unmonitored and 40 days stale.

What we did

The problem

Each clinic ran its own consumer router and unmanaged switch. Patient data crossed a flat network with no segmentation and no documentation for HIPAA review.

• ▸Segmented clinical, guest and device VLANs behind unified firewalls
• ▸Site-to-site VPN with automatic failover
• ▸Full network diagram and HIPAA evidence package

The problem

An aging on-prem file server was the single point of failure for a hybrid workforce, with VPN-dependent access and licensing sprawl nobody had reviewed in years.

What we did

• ▸Mapped 2.4 TB of shares and pruned redundant data
• ▸Staged migration to SharePoint and OneDrive over three weekends
• ▸Rebuilt permissions with group-based access
• ▸Right-sized licensing and retired the server
